Sewickley to get in shape with Alba Tull
Alba Tull, wife of billionaire Thomas Tull, plans to open Ramp ‘N’ Rize, a state-of-the-art fitness studio in Sewickley, in March.
Mrs. Tull developed Ramp ‘N’ Rize with data-driven workouts for full body conditioning. The studio will offer personal and group training sessions and feature the latest equipment, including the TransformerPro (the “ramp) and the Power Tower (the “rize”).
Studio director Joy Johnson is a certified Lagree Fitness master and has trained Hollywood celebrities and professional football and baseball players. Mr. Tull is part owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ryan Shazier, injured Steelers linebacker, is a partner and shareholder in the studio.
“We look forward to being part of the fitness landscape,” Mrs. Tull said Tuesday. “I am thrilled to be opening our flagship studio in my new hometown of Sewickley.”
In June 2018, Mrs. Tull had announced the fitness studio would open in the fall in Lawrenceville. Now it will be closer to her family’s home in Edgeworth. The center’s exact location was not disclosed.
“My family and I fell in love with Sewickley well before we became residents and I am eager to have Ramp ‘N’ Rize be part of the thriving community I am now proud to serve,” she said.
Mrs. Tull is CEO of the Tull Investment Group, chairs the Tull Family Foundation and is a fine art gallery and commercial photographer as well as film director.
