Claudette originally hails from Lehighton, Pennsylvania but has been calling Pittsburgh home since 2004. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in ‘08 with a dual major in English Writing and Political Science. She found a passion for teaching during graduate school when she completed her MFA in Teaching Creative Writing at Chatham University in 2011. Claudette has always been involved in sports and athletics since a young age including over twelve years of gymnastics, captain of her field hockey team, and even played on the men’s tennis team in high school.
In 2017 Claudette hung up her hat in the corporate world and decided to dedicate herself to her true passion - teaching various forms of fitness and helping others find inspiration within themselves. She became BarreAmped and BarreAmped Bounce certified and teaches barre and rebounder classes at Meraki Studio. She is also a Level 1 TRX trainer and in the process of finishing her ACE certification. In her free time, you can find Claudette hitting up the gym or interval training, finding the newest place to eat with her husband, or hanging out with her corgi, Cheddar.

Who inspires you?
My clients inspire me. Watching them come to class and push themselves to their limits and achieve the goals they set for themselves tugs at my heartstrings. It’s a privilege to watch and help people on their fitness journeys.
When I select my workout music I:
Focus on the BPMs to help people move with the music and the beat.
To avoid sweat-induced breakouts I:
Change clothes after every workout.
You’d never catch me wearing:
My hair down during a workout.
If you looked in my gym bag you’d find:
Lululemon pants, an extra sport bra, protein bars, dry shampoo and spray deodorant.
When I’m teaching, I’m most impressed by a student who:
Stays true to forms and challenges themselves. I’ll offer an extra challenge and I have admiration for those who step up and try it, even if it is for a second.
My guilty pleasure foods are:
Black Forest gummy bears, or anything with chocolate and peanut butter.
My favorite thing to do when I want to relax is:
Stay in my pajamas and binge watch true crime shows.
